Ilimexa was founded with a simple belief: every African deserves access to world-class education, regardless of location or income. We are building the infrastructure for lifelong learning across the continent.
Our story
Ilimexa was founded in 2024 by Ahmad Garzali, a self-taught developer who experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing quality tech education in Nigeria. Frustrated by expensive foreign platforms and slow video streaming, he set out to build something different.
We started with five instructors and 200 learners. Today, Ilimexa hosts over 500 courses across 8 categories, serves learners in 36 Nigerian states, and has paid out over ₦50 million to instructors.
Our vision is to become the largest skills marketplace in Africa — empowering millions of people to earn more, do more, and become more through education.
